Dr. Yomna Amer, MD

Dr. Yomna Amer is a compassionate and highly accomplished dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at Oregon Health & Science University following her transitional internship at Indiana University Methodist Hospital. Dr. Amer earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Louisville.

Dr. Amer is passionate about delivering personalized, evidence-based dermatologic care to patients of all ages. Her clinical interests include skin of color dermatology, pediatric dermatology, hair disorders, complex medical dermatology, and cosmetic procedures. She is known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach and dedication to improving both skin health and quality of life. Throughout her training, Dr. Amer received numerous honors recognizing her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service, including the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society distinction. She was also awarded the First Place Resident Case Presentation Award by the Oregon Dermatologic Society and received the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Resident Scholarship.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Amer has contributed extensively to dermatologic research and advocacy. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations on topics including psychodermatology, skin of color, pediatric wound care, hair loss, autoimmune disease, and dermatologic surgery. Her work has been presented at national and international meetings including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Maui Derm, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Amer has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community outreach and global health through volunteer medical initiatives in Jordan, Greece, and underserved clinics throughout the United States.
