About Dr. Sheikh Dr. Umar Sheikh is a board-certified dermatologist with a deep commitment to inclusive, evidence-based care. He specializes in general and complex medical dermatology, with a strong interest in pediatric skin conditions, infectious dermatoses, and the intersection of dermatology and global health. Dr. Sheikh earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed both his internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the University of Chicago, where he was deeply engaged in community outreach and patient advocacy.
Dr. Sheikh has held clinical and research roles at The Dermatology Specialists in New York and Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis. As a Pediatric Dermatology Clinical Research Fellow, he worked under the mentorship of Dr. Elaine Siegfried, gaining valuable experience in managing complex pediatric dermatologic disorders.
