Ghias
Dr. Mondana Ghias is a distinguished dermatologist specializing in complex medical dermatology, with a particular focus on Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), skin of color, biologics, telehealth, and oncodermatology. She graduated a member of AOA (honors) from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also completed a clinical research fellowship in HS. Dr. Ghias completed her dermatology residency at Einstein/Montefiore.
Dr. Ghias is a recognized authority in the fields of hidradenitis suppurativa, telehealth, and the treatment of complex medical dermatology disorders. Dr. Ghias has authored 24 peer-reviewed articles. Her publication, "High-dose, high-frequency infliximab: A novel treatment paradigm for hidradenitis suppurativa,” was the lead original article in the May 2020 issue of the JAAD and was selected as one of the top 10 publications of the past 3 years in 2023. This research was presented at the AAD conference in March 2023 during the “Game Changers” forum.
Tono Health As the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Tono Health, Dr. Mondana Ghias is at the forefront of integrating telehealth to enhance access to advanced specialty care in dermatology. Specifically her focus is innovating virtual-led, complex care to optimize care for chronic, severe conditions, including the implementation and monitoring of patients on infusion therapies and biologics. Recognized nationwide, she receives referrals from leading surgeons and doctors from California to New York.
Dr. Ghias leads Tono's partnerships with the innovation industry, with a particular focus on real world evidence and clinical studies. In 2024, Tono led a first-of-its-kind study for severe complex conditions across 23 states.

Innovation & Research Dr. Ghias has a unique history in innovation and research. She was fortunate to work in the labs of Dr. Michael Potter, a Lasker Award winner for his work on immunochemistry, and Nobel Laurette Dr. Paul Greengard at Rockefeller University, known for his work on alzheimer's and parkinson's disease. At the National Cancer Institute, she published significant findings on the mechanisms of oncogenesis and the development of novel therapeutic strategies for chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
