Dr. Marilyn Wan, MD

Dr. Marilyn Wan is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She provides comprehensive care for a wide range of skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, acne, skin cancer, pigmentary disorders, and hair loss, while also offering cosmetic treatments tailored to each patient’s individual goals. Dr. Wan is known for her meticulous, compassionate approach and commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Dr. Wan completed her dermatology residency at Northwell Health System, where she also served as Cosmetic Clinic Resident Director. She completed her preliminary internal medicine internship at Memorial Healthcare System in Florida. Prior to residency, Dr. Wan conducted extensive dermatology research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania under internationally recognized leaders in psoriasis and inflammatory skin disease. She additionally earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and received her medical degree from the University of Birmingham School of Medicine and Dentistry in the United Kingdom.

A prolific researcher and educator, Dr. Wan has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the British Journal of Dermatology, and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Her research has focused extensively on psoriasis, inflammatory skin disease, melanoma, patient-centered outcomes, and dermatologic surgery.

Dr. Wan has received multiple honors for her academic and research contributions, including awards from the Dermatology Society of Greater New York, the National Psoriasis Foundation, and the Society for Investigative Dermatology. She remains actively involved in organized dermatology and currently serves in leadership roles within the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association.
