Burgos
Dr. Arelis Burgos is a board-certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist specializing in medical, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. With more than two decades of clinical experience, she provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, treating conditions ranging from eczema, acne, psoriasis, and hair disorders to skin cancer.
Dr. Burgos earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. She completed her pediatric residency through the Mount Sinai School of Medicine before pursuing a fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology and a dermatology residency at the University of Colorado, where she later served as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dermatology. Throughout her academic career, she helped educate medical students, physician assistant students, and residents while caring for patients at Children's Hospital Colorado, Denver Health, and the University of Colorado Hospital.

Innovation & Research
Dr. Burgos has dedicated much of her career to advancing pediatric dermatology through clinical research and academic medicine. Her work has focused on hair disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pediatric skin disease, quality-of-life research, vitiligo, and rare genetic dermatologic conditions. She has participated in multidisciplinary research at Children's Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado, contributing to studies on adolescent PCOS, ectodermal dysplasia, pediatric alopecia, and pediatric dermatologic disorders. She has also authored textbook chapters and presented nationally on pediatric dermatology, obesity-related skin disease, and common dermatologic conditions.
