Opzelura® (ruxolitinib) is the first and only FDA-approved vitiligo prescription medication that helps to repigment skin. This topical JAK inhibitor is also FDA-approved to treat mild to moderate eczema. It is not a steroid, pill, or injection. For patients with eczema, this treatment can help clear skin and significantly reduce itch.
Opzelura® can be used in patients 12 years or older with vitiligo or mild to moderate eczema, who haven't had success in managing their symptoms using other topical prescription medications.
If your vitiligo or eczema is not improving with other treatment options, and you think you would benefit from Opzelura® (ruxolitinib), talk to your Tono dermatologist about this medication.
